Virtual Campden BRI day experience

The challenge

 

With social distancing the new normal for 2020, it has meant that many traditional business events have been cancelled. 

 

Our client, Campden BRI, hold an annual member open day at their research facility in Chipping Campden to showcase the solutions they offer to the food and drink industry and the research that underpins it, from food microbiology and safety to packaging, processing and ingredients in product innovation.

With social distancing putting a stop to any form of gathering they turned to Sodalite Creative to host an online virtual exhibition and we jumped at the chance to innovate and get creative!

The approach

 

Traditionally the open day takes place in a marquee and it was this setting that Campden BRI wanted to recreate in an interactive game style, allowing members to continue to engage despite social distancing restrictions.

 

Sodalite Creative constructed an online virtual marquee to replicate the traditional canvas one, which enabled nearly 1000 delegates the opportunity to walk around and interact with a wide variety of video & visual content.

The result

 

The feedback from the event has been fantastic. Most importantly Campden BRI’s delegates from around the world thoroughly enjoyed the virtual marquee and were keen to engage with the experience.
